the theme's musicals. constance's a fraude.
1) scott - "the impossible dream" from man of la mancha. was done in the season 2(3?) finale. it was just oh so boring. and too much vibrato for my liking. it could have been good, had it not been so boring, or had that unfortunate last note didn't happen. paula's flipping out. "it wasn't like a bang-bang". BUT!!!! "take the bang". you can't make that shit up. i HATE paula.
2) constantine - "my funny valentine" from babes in arms. fraude. FRAUDE. he said "my phony valentine", in the intro clip. he freaks me out, what with the look at the camera and all. it was pretty good, but consider me scared. the band was way too loud. the last run ("staaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy") was BAD. i HATE paula. simon gets more and more witty and funny, with each passing moment.
3) carrie - "hello, young lovers" from the king and i. she looks awesome! i love her! i thought it was great. spot on with the vocals. could be more exciting, but i guess that's the genre. i LOVE her! also, simon's analogies get wierder and wierder, yet they keep being unbelieveably exact and true.
4) vonzell - "people" from funny girl. baby v's intro clip was cute! it was very very good. my concentration drifted, unfortunately, but from what i did pay attention to, it was great. paula can get so specific when talking about hitting notes, wierd considering the fact she's known as one of the biggest lipsync-ers of her time...
5) anthony - "climb every mountain" from the sound of music. i'm sleepy after that performance. it wasn't particulary good vocally either. boring, bland and bad. i dunno... that last note was just terrible. i HATE paula. no one interrupted her when she talked! just SHUT THE FUCK UP!
6) nikko - "one hand, one heart" from west side story. the song itself was pretty bad. randy might say he did his thing. i mean, it was vocally good, but it was so disconnected. paula's high. simon's right. i HATE paula.
7) anwar - "if ever i would leave you" from camelot. ok. i was wrong in last week's review. anwar's THE best male singer in the competition. his best performance in the finals by far. i quite liked it. paula's HIGH.
8) bo - "corner of the sky" from pippin. lol at the intro clip. fumbled the lyrics for a bit, but recovered well. probably the best performer in the competition (sory about the best this best that...). i thought it was pretty good. i HATE paula. she's just stupid. and so obviously drugged up/high/drunk. i actually think simon's wrong this time.
9) nadia - "as long as he needs me" from oliver!. the ending, what with the looking to the side and all, wasn't great. otherwise it was good. not great, but good. i'm tried...
