the theme is billboard #1's. that's got to be one of the more lenient themes ever.
1) anthony - "i knew you were waiting (for me)" by aretha franklin and george michael. i'm telling you, if he keeps picking songs that were already on idol, in some form or another, he's gonna get real dull, real soon. oh, wait. he already is... i'm still freaked out. not that good.
2) carrie - "alone" by heart. CARRIE! o. m. g. brilliant. the only thing not amazing about it, was the female backup in the chorus part. she looks great too. *paula dropped a name there. that's usually randy's job...* simon makes a BOLD prediction. I LOVE CARRIE!!!!

3) scott - "against all odds (take a look at me now)" by phil collins. he had nearly 1000 songs to choose from. and he chose this piece of shit... HAND GESTURES. wow... i thought it would suck. it didn't. it was really good. like, really, really good. i agree with simon that the vocals weren't fantastic, but it was still bery good.
4) bo - "time in a bottle" by jim croce. i think i might love the bice. not as much as i love the underwood, and in a completely different way, but still love him. any other "rocker" on the show was a fraude. yet he manages to sing songs like this, and STILL be a rocker. it was very good. paula's definitely high. 60 milion? 60?
5) nikko - "incomplete" by sisqo. he looks like a mobster. the black response to capone? a bit late, i'd say... the throwing away the jacket and hat was laughable. it was just ok for me. i did not dig it. paula's high. everytime simon sort of agrees with her, she jumps for joy, screams and kisses him. i hate her...
6) vonzell - "best of my love" by the emotions. PERFORMED it great. vocally it was just ok. overall, it was pretty good. i don't know. i just didn't get into it as much as the judges.
7) constantine - "i think i love you" by the partridge family. biggest. fraude. ever. he tried to rock it out. he didn't. he sucked. well, it wasn't that bad, but the whole context, of him trying to do a hard rock version of a partridge family song called "i think i love you" is just horrible. and he smiled way too much. i hae no idea what paula said. LOL! simon's comments were spot on. and funny!
8) nadia - "time after time" by cyndi lauper. she likes artsy fartsy songs. lol. the fro-hawk was hyooooooooooooge! well, at least she somewhat tried to rock out. it was a'ight. one of her weaker performances, but it was still ok. paula's REALLY useless.
9) mikalah - "love will lead you back" by taylor dayne. i HATE her. i almost hate her as much as i love carrie. almost. she has the most annoying voice of any finalist, ever. ugh. just ugh. paula's useless. she's rooting for everyone, and is a fan of everyone, and loves everyone. i hate her. almost, oddly enough, as much as i hate mikalah.
10) anwar - "ain't nobody" by chaka khan. seriously? the intro clip was creepy. ever since the finals began, he is getting suckier and suckier. his worst performance yet. it was really just ok. again, paula's useless.
11) jessica - "total eclipse of the heart" by bonnie tyler. my head hurts. i THINK it's non-performance related. i couldn't really concentrate on the performance. i guess it was good? i 'unno...
*GLITCH!!!* at the recap of the performances, the second number, the non-IDOLS one, shown for the last three, mikalah, anwar and jessica, was the one of the first three, anthony, carrie and scott. wonder what they'll do about it... well, what they did, is turn the results show into ANOTHER performances show, with someof it taped, some of it live, and move the results show a day back. all the votes cast after the 1st performances show was nulled. yay.
