1) amanda - "river deep - mountain high" by ike & tina turner. she's a gemini. there were sounds like someone was tapping a mic throughout. pitchy? just ok for me. didn't do anything extra. the tapping sounds were REALLY annoying. randy's spot on. and then he got all annoying after simon's comments. yeah. being on american idol is EXACTLY like being a soldier in a war.
2) janay - "dreaming of you" by selena. she's a libra. terrible. just terrible. she still looks terrified. worst performance of the season. by far.
3) carrie - "because you love me" by jo dee messina. CARRIE! she's a pisces. how does that go with virgo? sh'e so cute. the shiny boob-coverage was distracting. to say the least. i thought it was really good. we've seen better from her. she put her non mic hand on her hip. it's odd. really, really good. she's soooo cute. "you guys scare me". lol! she's SO cute! "rap-country". SO CUTE!
4) vonzell - "respect" by aretha franklin. she's also a pisces. GREAT. not just vocally, but she performed great too. the outfit had absolutely NOTHING to do with the song, but she looked so adorable in it. i really liked it. what's a lassew? so her dad bought her the boots and hat. that makes more sense. "she's trying to be a singer right?" simon: "that's debateable". lol.
jessica says: "take it, but leave it there too". hmmmmmm.......
5) nadia - "try a little tenderness" by otis redding. she's a capricorn. what is that skirt?!?!? i don't know. it was good and all. but i didn't like the song, nor the arrangement, with the jump from slow to uptempo. i dunno... i'm over the dawgpound.
6) lindsey - "i don't want to miss a thing" by aerosmith. she's an aquarius. but she says she's not really. the phrasing was appaling. it sounded like screaming fans was part of the backing track. wierd. she didn't sing "i miss you babe". that was wierd. the arrangement wasn't all that good either. fumbled the lyrics at the end. just not good enough. alright, but not good enough. simon's comment about the musical equivalent of ryan was FUNNY! and ryan throws water on simon. FUNNY! LOL!
7) mikalah - "somewhere" from west side story. she's a capricorn. i hate her. HATE HER. and her voice. she wanted to make it all about the music. she shouldn't have. just bad. PITCHY. not as bad as janay, but not far from it. paula's a MORON. IDIOT. STUPID. i really hate her now.
8) jessica - "boys are back in town" by the busboys. no, not the thin lizzy one. yeah, i know. i was dissapointed too. she's a scorpio. BOOBAGE! LOVED IT! the boobage, that is. the song was alright. the thin lizzy song just kept running in my head. i'm now depressed. simon's getting obnoxious.
