hollywood, here they are! out of thousands, 193 made it to hollywood. when the week is over, they wish they didn't. MWAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!

*note on the format - after last season's 8-4 girls on boys ratio in the finals, the producers changed the format of the semifinals, to ensure it won't happen again. 12 guys and 12 girls will be selected by the judges. the guys will perform on one day, the girls on another, and america will vote. each week, the two boys and two girls with the least amount of votes will be eliminated, until 12 are left, 6 guys and 6 girls, and they'll be the finalists*

day 1 -

half go to vay-cay, the other half to audition.

carrie! i LOVE her. LOL!!!! ryan: "a lot of people take pictures of the sidewalk, the stars, the sign" carrie: "not me" ryan:"you take pictures of the trees" carrie: "palm trees" ryan: "any of the stars? have you seen the stars?" carrie: "no, it's been pretty cloudy" ROFLAMO!!!!!! she forgot the lyrics, but got over it. great. jaclyn's cabaret. sarah's affected a bit. tamesha promised her twin baby girls she won't come home empty handed. well, in that case! not good. kinda bad. carrie's through! yay! someone's out. jaclyn's through. sarah's through. someone else, and tamesha's out. how DARE she talk badly about carrie! where's an angry mob when you need one?????

i'm so over tracheotomy boy, anthony. nothing personal, but stop pushing it! he's good. michael, a croon, is next. not good. not right. anthony's through. michael isn't. some stupid ass chick got on the wrong bus. she's supposed to be in the auditions. and she just hangs around... idiot. rashida lost her voice. but she still pulls it off. impressive. she's through. she's shocked.

amanda, travis and lindsey sing ain't no mountain high enough, and are through. we see some lame excuses of why the contestant at hand should be the next american idol. ugh. lol at simon's little brotha. ugh, molfetta... ross isn't really crooning, and is good. sean's good. richard sucks. ross is through. sean's through. the twin's out.

some people sing you are the sunshine of my life: nadia, david, scott, anwar and jeffrey. nadia's through. david's through. scott's through. anwar's through. jeffrey's out. shunta made it to ger audition. i kinda wish she didn't... she's through.

melissa's a'ight. baby v's good. regina's the moron with the "sad" story. i hated it. affected and over the top. and the sob-story is so tired. melissa's through. she cires. vonzell's through. regina's out. all in all, 54 are out, 48 are through.

day 2 -

patrick and mario sing, and they're good. francisco's not as good. mario's through. patrick's out. francisco's out. marlea's alright. and through. a "rocker", aaron, reminds me of the fraude. bo's got the coolest name ever. i hate constantine. they're all through. briana's not good. she looks like crap. she's out. mikalah's not funny. well, maybe she is... she's through. marlea quits. that right - she quits. janay's a'ight. and through.

overall, 97 are left in the competition.
