American Idol S03E35 - Top 4

4...

ugh. disco night. guest judging tonight will be... donna summer! the judges' comments will be reversed tonight, simon starts, then donna summer, then paula, and rounding it out, randy?

1) jasmine - "everlastin love" by carl carlton. i hate this song. i will probably hate every song done tonight. at least she looks good tonight. one of the worst non-redhead performances this season. she sounds either sick, or sick of performing and hoarse. just terrible.

2) latoya - "love you inside out" by the bee gees. i don't like this night. it was alright. pretty good. but i couldn't care less. simon said "latoyar". lol.

3) fantasia - "knock on wood" by amii stewart. the caldwell did it last season, or should i say fumbled it. 'tasia's version is just so much better. a performance i actually liked, wow! lol... nice to see her doing something faster. the echo in the end was soooo cheesey. very good. paula still doesn't make any sense.

4) diana - "this is it" by melba moore. she's quite chubby. it just fit her really, really, really good. best yet. just good. i liked this more than fantasia's. simon AND paula tell randy to shut up. lol.

1) jasmine - "it's raining men" by the weather girls. someone had to sing it... third straight season that someone performed it. she didn't sing the first couple of lines. on purpose. the "whooo" is just terrible. her voice just sounds awful. joining her first performance as the worst tonight. she choked on a word too. paula, not so shockingly, still doesn't make any sense.

2) latoya - "don't leave me this way" by thelma houston. the change-up from a slower part to the up-tempo one was just horrendous. on of her weaker performances. just nothing really great about it. still good, but she can do so much better.

3) fantasia - "holding out for a hero" by bonnie tyler. i actually like this song. i like the "hero" that goes somthing like "and they say that a hero can save us...", but that's not exactly disco... the spinning in place was just un-called for. pretty good. me likey.

4) diana - "no more tears (enough is enough)" by donna summer & barbara streisand. BOLD pick, to say the least. the beginning was actually anti-dance. the change-up was just in the worst possible place. great. terrific. worked it out. best tonight.
