here we go again!
1) alexis - "i will survive" by gloria gaynor. terrible song choice number of the night! woohoo! love the cleavage. again with the wierd hand gestures. meh. nuthin else comes to mind. didn't like it.
2) gil - "ribbon in the sky" by stevie wonder. more hand gestures! yay! bleh. hated the last "note". just sing the song man! didn't like it.
3) angela - "run to you" by whitney houston. why sing whitney? why? again with the hands. again, just sing the damn songs. all those vocal gymnastics suck. didn't like it.
4) aj - "all or nothing" by o-town. why sing o-town? why? terrible song choice, but it was a'ight.
5) tenia - "greatest love of all" by whitney houston. again why would you do that to yourself? and what's with the prom/bridesmaid dress? every single note was too high for me. didn't like it. and here i was thinking the whole "the judges are wrong, i'm great" will be left behind after the auditions were over...
quick note: in the next shot we see justin standing and clapping, and as the angle changes, we see justin getting up to stand and clapping. hmmmmm....
6) alexandra - "save the best for last" by vanessa williams. would have worked better if she was actually last now wouldn't it? she's hot and chubby. wierd. loved the bikini top. kinda ugly though. worse than her gf. sounded kinda flat (can't believe i said that).
7) jazmin - "you put a move on my heart" - tamia. i hate excuses. nothing special about her, other than the spelling of her name.
8) jamar - "careless whisper" by wham! a wham! song? this is turning out to be night of the terrible song choices 2: electric boogaloo. terrible. slurring some words, shouting others. terrible. and the breathing sounds are driving me mad! and again with the run at the end. stop it!!!! this is not the first audition where maybe you kinda need to show off a bit.
9) kelly - "repect" by aretha franklin. i LOVE her. she looks good too. this girl got absolutely zero air time until now, and if you saw her audition, you know she deserved a lot of it. you'd think she'd fail with that song, but she was awesome! a bit shouty, but hey, that's a shouty song! and the great thing is that she's not full of herself, even though she can be!
10) justin - "ribbon in the sky" by stevie wonder. again? i hate this dude. better than gil's. one of the better ones today. i still hate him. that "look" is like when a kid is asking a bully not to kick his ass. the bully still kicks his ass.
